Извините меня, но у Стюарта, очевидно, большие проблемы с головой
Quote: Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin was still smarting from last weekend’s Pepsi 400, when he was wrecked after being hit from behind by teammate Tony Stewart while in the lead on Lap 14. To add insult to injury, Stewart savaged Hamlin in an interview afterwards, saying, “He tried to crash us on Friday in practice and didn't get it done so he finished it off today. …he's a young guy and he wants to be successful, but I don't know if he knows the definition of ‘team’ right now."
Asked Friday at Chicagoland Speedway if Stewart’s comments hurt, Hamlin said, “It sure did. Definitely. Even if it was a situation where I had wrecked him from behind, he still probably shouldn't have thrown me under the bus as far as he did,” Hamlin said of Stewart. “But I was the guy in front. It was a little bit of disappointment so that's why I've taken this week to kind of calm down and I'll think with a much clearer head when I talk to him today."
Hamlin maintained that people who saw the race on TV already have decided who was at fault. “Millions and millions of people watching, with opinions, know what happened. Let them judge. I don't need to sit there and blast Tony. There's no need for that,” Hamlin said. “It's painful to watch somebody trash you the way they did and especially if I was behind him and totally blatantly wrecked him and took him out, he still should not have taken the route he took. For me to be the leader and then say the things he did, that was pretty tough and hard to understand. I'm going to get an explanation later on.”
